Phoenix Open - August 18-22

Pecelj's two-way shot on the three-rail bank of the 6ball in rack 19 was a thing of great beauty. Well done!

Styer DOGGED that early nine and it looked like he blew a brain fuse. Wasn't the same the rest of the match. Sweet 4rail kick late tho, too bad it didn't mean shit. Sure hope wingnut96's man-crush is intact. He really thinks Styer is better than Gorst? Send me some of what he's smokin'.

it's a good finish for a 792 fargo. but there is something weird with tyler and the money ball.. maybe he should practice straight pool with fifteen 9-balls

He went out in the 64th round in Florida, worst Shane did was 32nd in Phoenix. If he wins Phoenix, then it would be pretty much a toss up. But the fact that he beat Shane in Yuma does give him a leg up. Although Phoenix was smaller than Florida and not technically a major while Florida and Yuma were.
1. He did win
2. It's not a major of the WNT but with this field of players, definitely a major!
3. SVB is a highly decorated player, ranked 4th by FargoRate and 8th by WNT and is expected to finish high in every event, who is Pecelj? ranked 29th by WNT and an under 800 FaroRate player.

So yes, Pecelj run is bigger and more impressive than SVB

Another impressive fact is that the "American Tour" that started with the Vice City Classic, than Florida Open, Yuma and now Phoenix is dominated by European players.
Vice Final - Kaci vs Krause
Florida Open final - SVB vs Kazakis
Arizona Open final - Grabe vs Pecelj
Phoenix Open final - Pecelj vs Szolnoki

And that's without all the top Polish players that are missing from these events and without a lot of the top Asian players.
SVB is the only American up there and at 43 years old he is still the only American player that can be there...

pecelj has a solid 810 fargo

it was updated in the last hour, he was 798 earlier

hmm..that must something other than fargorate you've seen. maybe what the statguy uses for performance rating. aleksa has been a couple steps behind sanjin for years, like 5 points.
