Photos from Derby City

I've been uploading photos from the Derby. If you have a few minutes and want to look at most of them, then the best way to view them is to click in the upper right hand corner where it says "Slideshow" -- that takes you to a full screen slide viewer. When it starts, you can also click top left to adjust the speed (default is medium, but fast is fine if you want to browse -- you can always pause the show anyway).

A weeks worth of tourney photos:

And the main action room:

I put the one-handed One Pocket in its own gallery:

On my pool bucket list to get to the DCC. Thanks for your efforts and making these photos available.

Thank you

Thank you for the excellent photos, that made me miss not being there.

Great photos

Thanks for taking the time to post all the DCC photos. I've never been to the DCC, but looking at all these pictures makes me want to go!

<insert witty, hilarious, yet racially charged comedic response here that will undoubtedly piss off the sensitive sissy pants posters on AZB with no sense of humor>

I did not intend to piss off anyone considering I myself am black. I pointed it out because I remember there being a thread discussing this subject so my comments were made out of pride....

lol. misunderstood my post. i was saying i would insert a joke. :P

Great pictures and I want to send out a special THANK YOU for putting up photos of some of the lesser known players. I get bored of seeing the usual pics of the top pros contantly, it's refresing to see some faces I don't know and some I have played against here & there..
Take care up there in The Granite State!

Can you post what gear and general settings you are using.

Great pics and thanks for sharing.

MY camera is a -- gasp -- five year old Nikon D300. Nearly an antique now, lol! I am due for an upgrade and already have my eyes set on the D800 but it has been waiting for a little more $$ -- damn this economy! My lenses there at the Derby were a Nikon 85MM 1.4 and a 80-200MM 2.8. You need good glass to keep the shutter speeds up enough.

Thanks for all the good feedback. The Derby is one of the absolute highlights of my year. If you have never been, you will love it!! It definitely belongs on your bucket list if you like pool. If you like the oldtime legends of the game, then come for Tuesday nights One Pocket HOF dinner, because that is always a pretty good room full of greats in one place.

Thanks was wondering what focal length. I am a canon user so I would need to go with the 70-200.

What is the iso on these pics generally?
