Well finally had the chance to post some photos (taken by elvicash and Hal2 - I don't know squat about digital camera's).

A couple of weeks ago, Danny D. visited for 4 days. He is a true master of the game, and is tremendously entertaining. His stories of life on the road are endless - it was a great time.

We worked on straight pool and one-pocket mostly. He also told some stories from his upcoming book (yes, there will be another book).

We had a very nice session with the AZB'ers: myself, elvicash, eales, FastJK, Hal2, chefjeff, andyB.

Afterwards, Jeanette Lee insisted on having Danny D. visit for dinner and a pool lesson DESPITE the fact that she just had some very major surgery, and could barely stand. Some players have an incredible love of the game and desire to learn.....there's a lesson for us there somewhere.

Here is Danny D. inspecting the rack. He is maybe the best player ever at reading the pack; it is truly amazing what he finds.

During the straight pool and one-pocket Danny would ask what I would like to shoot and WHY. When he was shooting he would tell me WHY he was doing what he did. Getting inside the mind of the masters is invaluable.

Oops, forgot to mention that the famous (??infamous??) Betmore Cup trophy is on the drink rail in the picture, next to Danny's right shoulder. The full time security guards are just out of frame. If Mark Griffin ever man's up, he may play for it.

Blackjack will take note of the photo of Cicero Murphy just above the trophy. Cicero's nephew posts here, but I can't recall his screenname (please PM me again).

We moved to the local poolhall for more group play. Here is a shot of their 10 footer. I cannot express how great 14.1 is when played on the 10 footer - a great exercise in concentration.

Here is Hal2 and Danny D. Hal drove all the way from Ohio for the event.....he plays bar league pool with his Balabushka (and BREAKS WITH IT TOO); how cool.

We then moved to the Black Widow's Lair for some more lessons. Here is chefjeff with the actress Janet Leigh (from that "Psycho" movie)....damn she plays well for an actress.

Last photo; this seems like a bad photo, but actually captures the late night mood in "the Lair".....it's "all about the pool baby." When there is a big game there at night, the light over the billiard table is off, and all the focus is on the field of green.

Is Danny playing with a Balabushka? It looks like one of his 'plainer' ones, or maybe a Tascarella. (??)

Danny had some tip trouble with his cue, so Hal lent him the Balabushka for the late night session. He is a very generous guy, and has let me hit some balls with it as well.

Wow, JL has a 3C table *and* a pool table?

I believe it is a heated Verhoeven table (I think they gave it to her as a GIFT).

The Diamond pool table is tighter than the ones at DCC.
