Here are some pics of an old Joss I recently added to my collection, I picked it up and sent it to joss to have it refinished, turned out as good as new, and it hits great!
does anyone know what model this might be? I guess it is a j model but it does not have the year beside the logo. would that make it pre 80's or mid 70s?? also I have the matching shaft and 2 extra shafts. so what is a guess on price for it??

thanks a bunch

not sure of the model, though I'd say its a 80's cue...I'd bet 600-800 on sale price. Most of the old joss cues from the 80's don't sell well. 70's cues sell pretty good.

personally I wouldn't be selling it.

Whitey, I would say the cue is definately from the 80's. To my knowledge Joss did not make cues with CNC points in the 1970's. It is really a nice looking though, and the refinish job came out great!!!!

Have a nice day!!!!!!!

well i read in the blue book they did early pantograph points, quite a bit before cnc and they look like pantograph points to me, it did turn out really sweet!

most joss cues ive delt with pre 1985 ish have a date on the collar also. cant recall seeing one post 85 with a date on the collar.

so i would say deff upper 80's

I know they put dates on from 1982 to 1986. Not sure if they did it on all of their production.

Ummm....cool. I owned a nice J-17 once and idiotically sold it. Those old Joss cues are fantastic. I have just about all of their original catalogs that I plan to scan in and share as soon as I get off my lazy butt and hook my scanner up.

You're not alone on that one...... Matt, we both let that one pass through our hands.

You SOLD IT???? Who in the world has it now? Oh well.....

I'm consoled in the fact that I'm going to have a mind-blowing custom done in November. I'm just waiting impatiently...LOL.

Here are the ones I have with dates. One of these days I am going to post pictures of all of my Joss cues. Just need to take the pictures.....
