Picture of an old pool hall...

I'd love to have that OrangeCrush sign. I grew-up drinkin' those and Grapettes.

Can you imagine sitting in that room listening to the world series while someone was writing down the stats on that board. A bunch of guys hootin' and hollerin', kids playing dice in the corner.

The good old days.

Way back in the days of my youth, i used to hang out at a old school pool room in Dallas and play golf on the 6x12 snooker table they had in the back with a bunch of the old timers.

They had parking meters out front like the ones in this photo.

I never bothered putting coins in the meter and got a parking ticket everyday for about a year

And everyday i would just trash the ticket thinking it's just a parking ticket and not worry about it :)

One day i see two uniform police officers walk in and guess who they were looking for lol

I ended up having to go downtown with them and pay a year's worth of unpaid parking violations :shocked2:

Lesson learned from that, i always put coins in the meter after that :rotflmao1:

This place was in San Francisco. I didn't know that they called sub sandwiches "torpedo" out west. I only thought it was a back east term.

One thing about those photos. They aren't casual snaps. The lighting is eerily perfect on everything...people, balls..everything...not a single shadow or hint of a shadow. And that perfection doesn't come from a narrow angle light source like a flash bulb. This photo was carefully set up by a professional photographer. Just saying. I love it.

Correct. I doubt it was a early cell phone.

There's shadows, but they're right behind everything.. look at the light over the table..
pretty sure a pro photographer was using an old 4x5 Speed Graphic with a
flashbulb in the old wide angle reflector they used to use! Love it !

$.02 and film rules!

Great picture:thumbup:

Gotta love the cars...looks like a 65 Chevy Malibu and a Ford Galaxy 500 of about the same vintage..

I'm gonna say 1964 for both cars.

The owner probably staged both new cars in front of his business for the picture. Judging from the Johnson/Humphrey signs in the windows, I'm guessing the photo was taken in the summer of 1964, during the campaign, and he just wanted a fancy first year Malibu and the Galaxie to advertise his business. I'm just guessing though.

Sweet rides regardless of year.
