Picture of person of interest re Mike Surber's death

I am putting together a list of all pool rooms where they tend
to gamble in Mississippi, Georgia, Louisanna, Alabama. I will be
faxing them the information on the murder of Mike and a picture
of the person of interest.

If you can help me that would be great, the name of the pool
room and the person I should talk to there.

If you would rather send me a pm that's fine.

thanks for all of your help

Have there been any local updates on how the investigation is going?
Has the image been shown on any TV news channels, Crime Stoppers, rewards, etc.

I'm just trying to help keep this thread going until the evil creep is arrested.
I know he is just a "person of interest", but how many times have we heard that one before.
Since this is an open forum and not a court of law I'm willing to make the rush to judgment.

How did they get his last name I wonder... (If I missed the "how" in one of the threads, I apologize)

I have to imagine that they got the name from the credit card that he tried to use when he was at Skeeter's Pool Room in Gulfport, MS. It is known that the person of interest ran up a tab and attempted to charge the expense on his credit card.

I would like to know the last known address of this person.

Often, "people" will return home in spite of the risks or problems that it might cause. He may have resources there that he can depend upon.

The guy could just be the last person seen with Mike, and nothing more.

However, the fact that the Police are looking for him and he is nowhere to be found, seems suspicious.

And very likely the Police know much more about what happened than they are making public.

Someone said the video showed him getting out of Mike's car when it was returned to the pool hall. If that is accurate, he is convicted in my mind. Either he did it or was part of it-either way a murderer.

There are many possible scenarios that come to mind that could conceivably eliminate the person of interest as a suspect regardless of whether he drove Mike's car.

Im not saying that that alone means anything but it is what put him WAY over the top in my view. You must have a vivid imagination-better than mine for sure.

gUNN_sLINGER, you may have to call and get an email address as many pool rooms do not have a fax machine.

I'm starting to phone pool rooms tomorrow, and will be asking for
email and fax numbers. I was hoping that more folks would be posting
the names of the current pool rooms that they play in and numbers
if they have them.
I found a site that tells you the names of the pool rooms but it's
so out of date.
Will see how it goes.

Will take anything any one gives me, it's a start.

thanks

I attended Mike's service at Bradford-O'Keefe funeral home in Biloxi. It was heart warming for me to see many more people there than I had anticipated. It was a very large room, and about 3/4 of the pew seats were occupied.

Mike had specifically requested in his will that there be no funeral. So the gathering was out of respect, and to simply share some stories about Mike.

His brother Steve was first to speak. He had some interesting and amusing stories about when Mike first moved to the Gulf Coast. Stanton Fountain, Esq. was called up to speak. Stanton did a lovely and inspiring eulogy. Next, Mike's close friend, Glen Kelly, gave a heart felt recollection of Mike and their friendship. Although many of the attendees comprised a hardened group of pool players and casino dealers, I did notice that a few of us got a little choked up during Glen's talk. Mike's nephew Tre said a few nice things about his uncle. And then a long time casino dealer friend of Mike's closed it out.

Most of the gang were headed back to Skeeter's pool room in Gulfport for a wake, but unfortunately I had to get back to my clinic. I'm sure everyone had plenty of good remembrances of Mike to share.

I had spoken earlier with the authorities, and also to Mike's brother about Mike's cues. None of his cues were stolen from his home, nor were his personal playing cues taken. As a matter of fact, Mike's cues and case were displayed along side his pictures at the funeral home. So it looks as though this was a random strike by a sociopathic predator type who was simply out to get whatever he could grab.

In the other thread someone had mentioned that they had stopped at a lawyers office that afternoon and this guy had left a business card. I believe they said the card was not real?

Does anyone know if this was the case, and if so do they know the name that was on the card?

Thx Doc !
