Picture of person of interest re Mike Surber's death

Is there any more information about belongings missing from Mike's home? In other words, what was taken from Mike? Was it money only?

I can't say to be honest with you.

I also can not get into the newspaper sunherald, lol I think they
banned me as I kept copying all their stories. lol
Plus I stopped sleeping a few days ago, and I think the napping
is making me a full out nasty goofy person.
Can you get into that newspaper now?

That is definitely the guy I saw with Mike at Skeeter's. I don't believe he was a 6-footer though. I'm guessing he was more like 5' 9", 5' 10" tops. Probably 170 pounds. Mike was only 5' 5" or so, and this guy wasn't all that much taller.

What was distinctive about the guy was his manner. Fairly soft spoken, not pushy, fairly intelligent; but with an entrusting, beguiling type demeanor-- almost like a soft con.

I haven't read all the posts in the other thread...did they ever make it to a casino? If they did, they would be able to get a quality photo from there. The casinos have top notch cameras.

One thing I haven't heard mentioned is that he seems to have one or more rings in the top of his ear. I worked on the image awhile in photoshop and the glare off of metal in or on the top of his ear became obvious.

Is he wearing a large mustache also? I suspect all hair has changed and the rings may be gone but the holes will still be there.

I would be surprised to find the author/ police are 100% certain of the name, much less the spelling. Variations of spelling are common and need examination.

Where did I get the idea he is related to GA?

OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - Ocean Springs Police have released a surveillance photo showing the last person seen with Michael Surber before he was killed. The 54-year-old Surber was found dead at his home Thursday night.

Police say Jericho Cooper is a white man in this late 40s to mid 50s. He's about six feet tall and weighs between 175 and 185 pounds. He wears his receding hair pulled back in a ponytail, just below the collar.

Cooper is considered a "person of interest" in the case, and is wanted for questioning. He was last seen in the Jackson area on Sunday, November 15th. Police say he's known to frequent bars and pool halls.

There are a lot of real gamblers in the south, could you call them

My stomach is in knots since reading about this horrific, senseless, seemingly random murder that could have happened to darn near any of us...

Mike Surber's personal cue sticks, which one of them was a Kirschenbrock. The other name maybe Scruggs MAY BE MISSING. If the person who stole the cues, has them, THEY ARE PROBABLY TRYING TO SELL THEM or have already sold them.

If you or someone you know bought a cue in the past week, especially if they are a Kirschenbrock or a Scruggs, you should let the Ocean Springs police know that you purchased a cue that might have belonged to Mike Surber.

At least you could come on this forum and post the pictures and one of Mike's friends could determine if it was his or not.

If you know of someone trying to sell a cue in your pool room or on Craig's List or other and it is a Kirschenbrock or Scruggs, get some pictures and post them on this forum.

The description of his voice as soft and disarming is another clue. The dirty blonde hair may no longer sport a pony tail but you never know.

It's hard to hide a receding hair line and a soft and disarming voice.
He could be sporting a shaved head FWIW.

For people who know what his cue looks like or might be able to get a feeling about it based on a description, they can use this trick to search all craigslist sites nationwide so they don't have to try and figure out geographically where he might be.

go to google.com, enter:
site:craigslist.org Kirschenbrock OR Scruggs AND CUE
in the search window and this will give you all the cues that have been listed on craigslist that are either Kirschenbrock or Scruggs. I also click on options and select things listed in the last week.

Keep in mind that the names of the cuemakers may be misspelled both by me and by the person selling them.

Same thing works on many other sites. Just swap out craigslist.org for Azbilliards.com or whatever.
