Pictures from the past...

Houston Pool Scene

I grew up there but was too young to know where the real halls were. It is great to see that many old school quality players in H-Town. By the time I started playing the only decent one that I could get to was Cue N CusHion. It got taxed out and closed and I think is a martini bar or somthing. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Thank for posting them. Those look like some great old times. I wish I could have been there.

Now we have to find out who the beautiful young lady is with Mr. Puckett.

The hair gives me an idea but that was a long tie ago & she looks very young so I could be way off base.

Thanks again,

Reds Tournament 1983-84

Those are some great photo's from the Reds Tournament back in 1983-84, thanks Mike Haines and Bill Porter. Everyone looks so YOUNG!

That is Country Calvin Harcrow in the blue shirt beside his old friend Mike Massey, Calvin didn't play in the tournament but did match up and beat 10 players in a row gambling , he ran 13 racks in a row on the bar table playing 9-Ball against "Atlanta Danny" Danny Greardon at the tournament.

Cesar Morales......
that Cesar guy has an awkward and shaky bridge. And he is over the cloth with a lit cigarette

Good these pictures come over and over again here. I bet there are youngsters who have never seen those monster players.

My dad had a collection of old billiards pictures from the 30's. They were taken of old pool halls around St. Cloud, MN - some of them with my relatives.

Unfortunately, when he died, they were thrown out as his papers were sorted. (sigh)

This is fantastic! A very good friend of mind, Mark Henson, lived there and played at Red's during that time. I can't wait to share these with him.
