Pictures of my new Samsara

Just thought I'd share pictures of my new sphere spear. Not the best with a camera, but not the best with a cue either.

I hit with it last night using both the OB-1 and the Samsara shaft. I was pretty sure I'd like the OB-1, since I was using one on my previous shooting cue. But, I was pleasantly surprised by the Samsara shaft. I noticed more vibration with the Samsara than the OB-1, so I'll probably stay with the OB-1.

Mmmm Samsara.. love these cues!! I'm anxious to hear more about how it performs with the OB-1. I've retired my matching 314 because it just felt too limp compared to the Samsara shaft.

Beautiful cue!

pretty enough to be in a glass case, not a smokey pool room.

I'll probably use it on a limited basis in smokey places, but I'll be using it nonetheless. Rest assured that I'll take good care of it though.

I'm not sure how well you'd like the OB-1 as compared to a Predator. The OB-1 has a much softer hit than a Predator in my opinion. I've never tried a 314 on a Samsara, but my comparison of the OB-1 and the Samsara shaft is that the feels are kind of similar. Both have solid hits without the "clunkiness" of a 314, but the OB-1 is a little softer feel without as much vibration as the Samsara. As with all things cue and shaft related, it's all subjective.

Your "subjective" taste is excellent. A beautiful cue. May you run many racks and get paid before they notice your speed.

Never knew there were so many dedicated cue buffs out there until I started showing up with my Samsara...

Good luck with your new cue.

I'll second that.. I never thought the Intarsia would be so quickly recognized.. definitely one more thing to love about my Samsara.

Pretty nice cue for only three million dollars. ;)

Good luck with your new Samsara.

I didn't know there were so many cue buffs until I started showing up wth my Samsara. Yours is definatally an eye catcher.

I noticed more vibration with the Samsara than the OB-1,

Dear Lord. Samsara shafts are very stiff. How much stiffer is the OB-1?

Beautiful!

Anyone should be proud to have that in their hands . . . beautiful cue.

I like this one too . . .

In my opinion, Jim and Dave are making the most unique designs in cues today, and have been for several years.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. We had a major lightening storm here. My building took 3 hits, and it blew out some batteries for our generator. We had to evacuate. Turned out to be not too bad, so we're back up today. I work in IT (and it was the IT building that was hit), so I've been doing recovery all night.

Back to your question. I agree that the Samsara shaft is stiffer than the OB-1 shaft. I think that the OB-1 splicing and the vibration dampening material in the shaft are the things that give me the feel I've grown accustomed to.
