Pink Ivory in Full-Splice?

It's one of the hardest woods to condition for use in pool cues. The wood will play great and stay straight if seasoned properly. Just like any wood used in cue building.
 
Pink ivory is hard and strong,but i wouldn't use it in large uncored pieces in a cue.it is for the most part unstable.i am sure there are some stable pieces out there but on the whole Pink Ivory is prone to move even when fully dry.

This is one of Eric Crisp's cues. This is the most pink ivory I've ever seen in a cue. It's curly pink ivory and East Indian rosewood. Phenomenal player. I wonder if he cored it...and if so..what with. I'm hooked on the stuff now...and would love another cue made with pink ivory as the main attraction. Were it possible to be used in a full splice (i.e. sneaky pete)...I think I'd have to go rub one out. LMAO I mean...ummm... So...yeah. Anyone have a real nice piece of this stuff lyin' around that you're just dying to turn into a cue? Because I'm game. :p

look under the bumper and see if you see any pink in there under the brown butt sleeve.it isn't an automatic way to tell,but if you see a pink core then you know.

i have a 3" sq. nice pice that is curly and has excellent color,but it is only 12.25" long.i intended it for cored handles only.i can sell you the a piece for $50,or make a cue,but the cue might be awhile.

I'll have a Curly PI cue coming soon. I'll post some pix and review on it. I heard it's a pretty nice piece. ;)

I don't mean to get off the subject, but that's a pretty cool looking Sugartrree. Now I'm off to read about pink ivory.

Thank you. :-) Eric sure finds some nice wood. It's probably one of the more unique cues of his that I've seen. I'm both lucky and proud to own it. I'd love to have a couple more cues made identically to this one...but with different types of wood. I'd like to see if I can get a cue where the handle and points are buckeye burl...and the forearm and buttsleeve are ebony. Then I want to do the joint and butt cap in horn. I think it'd look sharp as hell.
