So how many cuemakers, besides Burton Spain have put the screws in the shafts? I know Joel did a few early on.. so leave him off list..

John Robinson is the only other modern era higher end cuemaker I know of who pretty much exclusively built them that way.

Corsair?

I thought I read something long ago, while searching for the maker of one of my pin in the shaft cues, that Corsair had made some. Now I believe they were his early cues while he was still experimenting and were done without any markings. Once again I do not remember where I found that information, but I do remember spending many hours searching for pin in the shaft custom cue makers with not much luck.

I would love to find some other names, also, so I can attempt to narrow down my old unknown's maker.....

YEARS ago, I think I came across either a picture or a website that showed John actually STANDING on a screwed-together cue of his...to prove how strong that type of joint actually was.

Does that ring a bell with anybody around here...or am I just getting old and making sh!t up???

Joe barringer does that with the forearm of his cue on his cue building videos.
He stands and bounces directly on the a joint to show how weak it is :)

After reading the Robsinson cue history, I think I am aquiring a very early John Robinson. Probably mid to late 60's vintage.. I e-mailed them and hope to hear from them soon.

Thanks
