Where are some places to play in Las Vegas? I just moved here to the Henderson area so if anyone can help me out itd be much appreciated !

Cue Club.. Sahara and Maryland Parkway, thats really the only place to play. (15 or so crowns, simonis, etc.)

Does anyone happen to know directions ( just moved here a week ago )...I live right by 215...right by Green Valley Ranch

there isn't a good way.....take pecos to sahara......turn left on sahara, about 2 miles up and it is on the left/south side. just past maryland parkway.

Hi OPK,

Welcome to Vegas! There are several billiard rooms around the city. Jimmy is correct about the Vegas Cue Club. They have the best equipment. Probably the best assortment of players as well. Don't forget about Pool Sharks on Decatur near Spring Mountain.

Easiest way to Pool Sharks is: take 215 West to I-15 North. I-15 North to the Spring Mountain West exit. Take SM to Decatur. Turn left. Go about 1/4 mile. PS is on your left in a small strip mall. Say hello to "Thumbs" at the door and "Summer" at the bar.

For the Cue Club, again take 215 West to I-15 North. I-15 North to Sahara East exit. Follow Sahara eastbound. You will pass Las Vegas Blvd at the Sahara Casino on your right. Continue on through the next light at Paradise. The Cue Club is on your right in a plaza off Sahara about a half mile further east. You have to look sharp. The back of the room faces Sahara. If you get to Maryland Parkway, you've gone too far!

There is a lot of bar box action in Vegas. On Friday nights, there is a tournament at Dealers Choice on Spring Mountain Road around the corner from Pool Sharks. You'll meet a few of the players in Vegas there. If big tables is your thing, Monday night at PS. Tuesday night at the Cue Club. There are other rooms. These are the best currently.

Incidently, if you want to practice your favorite game, Freddy Boggs hangs at the Cue Club. You may also find Johnny Ervolino there from time to time. Lots and lots of one hole!

Do you know about the US Open One Pocket event at the Plaza Hotel starting the week of November 15th? If you don't play, you'll at least see a few of the best.

Im definantly going to watch the event. I havent picked up a cue in almost a year, so Im sure im a bit rusty, but now that im somewhat settled in up here, Im definantly gonna try and get back in stroke.

Hey Joey,

It is my understanding that Pink E's was or is closing to make way for a ....parking lot. Last time in Vegas was August. Any updates?

That I don't know.
Well, In N Out will still be there for sure.
So will the Rio Buffet.

Should not get lost, the easiest way to find it (via landmarks) is to go down LV BLV towards the Stratosphere, I dont know what direction that is, but towards downtown. When ya just pass the Sahara casino turn right (onto Sahara no less!). Then drive for abit, I am not sure exactly how far, maybe a mile? and there it is on the right. As was said, the back of the building faces the street, so it is crappy to see it, but go slow and it should be NP. It is a decent place, I have only hung out there during the BCA and VNEA so I dont know what it is like during more normal times, for those weeks the place rocks. I envy you, I love Vegas, I could live there NP, but I would need to live well off the strip and have a pool!

The MickeyD's is at the corner of Paradise and East Sahara. Keep going another five blocks or so east to State Street. Turn right. Go about 500 feet and turn left into the plaza. The Cue Club will be on your left as you enter the main plaza area. Good Luck!!!!

Funny story...I was leaving my craps school and going down eastern and saw a sign that said billiards....so I went in and there was 1 9foot table, and like 6 3cushion tables....a guy comes out the back ( Little chinese guy ina suit )...and I ask him how much it is to play, he tells me 20 dollars an hour!! I tell him to get the hell out and he turned and walked out of his own store !! I got freaked out and left, lol.
