? placing a site line on shaft ?

Any body know if placing say an 1/8' wide site line maybe 10" long on the shaft from the tips would pose any issues.

Depends on the player. Some players can't stand to see a speck of dirt on the ferrule, others don't see the ferrule.

Uhh - I think he means in the doing of it... not the using of it.

To the OP - it shouldn't, so long as you don't try to inlay it or something
strange.

Did that to an old reg shaft...Thought about having a LD one made. Reason being a 314-2 I have has a sugar spot or a colored section that I like. But in some lighting it's hard to see. Marker I know would work but a bit tacky. Al tho likely the only way to go.
 
It Sounds Like a Way To Ruin a Good Shaft

Just keep in mind you hurt the value of your cue if you go to sell it and one of the shafts has this line slight aid......most players wouldn't like it and basically you run the shaft for anyone else.
