Anyone here know where I could get a plain jane custom for say bout under 300$ . I am startin to save up for a custom as I want to move out of production cues. It doesnt has to be anything fancy like 500 points and 3 pounds of ivory in it. Just a plain Jane custom...... Anyone know any makers or selling in the future a good but low cost custom?

if you are interested, i have a four point prather cue made in 2002. it is purpleheart and maple. it's like new and in the ballpark on price. i was looking for $400 but i will take $350. if you are interested i can email you come pictures if you give me you email address.

Sounds great but as i said I jsut started saving my doh. Then as hectic as everything down here in New Orleans is. Almost every penny is needed but I am savin lil by lil. Thanks for the offer tho. It will be atleast 3 months before I have enough cash to invest in a new cue. So Im jsut keeping my options open.
 
A lot of people don't like them, but a plain jane Espiritu and a 314 shaft is a very nice combination in my opinion.
 
Chad Carter makes a good low cost custom.I have one that I like. Birdseye maple with 2 shafts. hits them good. Chad posts here sometimes so you may can catch him. Or Mike(semperfi) is a dealer for him as well.

I have a Bob Frey plain sneaky (basically a Scruggs sneaky) in really good shape that you can have for $250 delivered.

If you want to buy new consider a Huebler or a Schuler. I believe you can get a plain cue to your specs from either for about $300.

Well guys a sign of god came around last night and I was offered a David Tice w/ 2 shafts .....12.75mm.....Linen Wrap..........Bubinga.....for a very suprising price. And one that I can afford in less time than it would take to save the money for hi end custom. I wont say the price as some of yall might scream ludicris......

I wont list the sellers name til after I received the cue with a report on it. I am not trying to brag. But it feels so damn goo dthat people still care for others in the hardest of times!!!!!

Thanks guys for all your offers as all them prices looked great but I cant pass this up as my first custom!!!!!


Now the hard part comes as I am getting this cue with 2 shafts.

I have a 3x3 Guiseppe and a 2x2 Guiseppe......1 Mcdermott w/ 1 shaft..... JJ jump/break.......and the David Tice w/ 2 shafts.............my oh my what case to use as the 2x2 and Green and tan and gorgoues as the 3x3 is all black.....hmmmmm anywho Ill figure that out later.

A friend had Russ make this cue exactly as he wanted,overall length of the shaft and butt,shaft taper,butt taper,weight,tip,woods,and joint construction,were all specified by my friend. It showed up exactly as he asked for,in 6 weeks or so,for 325.00. Tommy D.

I will probably take some pics and list it on here. It is a plain bar cue type with the "F" of Frey stamped between the points....don't think he does them like that anymore. Just picked it up last night, so haven't had a chance to weigh/measure it yet, but it is in very good shape.
