Play in In St. Pete's/Tampa Florida??

I am in St. Pete's for 2 weeks or so and looking for some soft friendly action. I am only a b- player and looking for some cheap sets to stay in stroke, so all you lock artists and lamb killers don't waste your time:D ...lol. $ 20/30 sets. 8, 9, and 10 ball. Respond here or PM me. Captainhook if you read this I am gonna send you a pm as we talked a few months back...

ALSO IF ANYONE KNOWS ANY GOOD PLACES TO PLAY OR WEEKLY TOURNEYS...THANX

Hammerheads is in Holiday FL. Nice Place.

Strokers is in Palm Harbor. Nice place, great food!

Both have weekly tourneys I think.
 
Try PLANET 9-BALL on hillsbourgh road in Tampa or SIDE POCKET BILLIARDS in Largo. Both are great places and don't have shortstops perching at the doors waiting on an easy kill. lol
 
PM Captain Hook or go by the Flamingo. Heck Smorg is there to I think.

Are you there now? I will be in the area the first week of March. I really don't care about playing for money but I don't mind to play some cheap practice sets.

On the way home from the poker room last night, I stopped by P-9-Ball and peered through the glass doors. Even though they've been closed since the first of the year, all the equiptment and the entire place looks as it did when they were open and from what I could see, it looked as if it could open for business with the turn of a key.

A note was taped to the glass door that read "Closed For Re-modeling".

I am here now and will be here until the 23rd. I think, I may stay longer but thats the plan for now.

I am coming to Palm Harbor on March 4th until March 11th to play in the Florida Pro Tour that weekend at Strokers.

Ck out Capone's tournament in Springhill (about 1 hr north of Tampa) they have a great weekly event.
 
Nice good responses so far, keep 'em coming. I will check out cm's today. A Ray martin sighting sounds good to me. I will also check out Strokers and a few others today.
 
Just to let you guys know I got to meet thoffen at strokers. He's a nice guy, and strokers was a nice place to shoot.

Tubster-- What's the skinny on Planet 9-ball? Is it closed for good, or are there other problems that might be resolved?

Strokers is pretty nice. Tables are maintained nicely, even if they do have semi-huge pockets. I have to say though, the waitresses are my favorite part.

Side Pocket is a great place also. Corner Pocket too, which is on the same road and just a few miles away.
