Player List for World 14.1

Players

no list out there yet.

Ralf Eckert is playing in it and staying with Thorsten so that makes 2.
Max Eberle posted on facebook.
So did Jonni Fulcher.

I heard from Bill that:

Corey-No.
John S-No.

Since the player meeting is tomorrow I guess we may know by then.

As we all know Charles Eames (forumghost516) is playing for charity and according to Bobby Chamberlain's facebook status, he is on his way to NJ to take it home for USA !!!

Mike Davis has also had to pull out of the event and the thing that I am the most excited about is that Jasmin is confirmed !!!

World

I've heard Dave Daya will be playing.

Kind of sad that the day before a major tournament starts that you don't even know who will be playing and who won't. Even the WWF lets you know in advance who you'll be paying to see.

Last year the list was out a week in advance:

I think Charlie Williams just got back from China a day or so ago so it is probably a bit more hectic this year. Probably a lot of the same players as last year.

I know of the following players from the Metro NY area that are playing.

Danny Barouty (hat and all)
Steve Lipsky
Tony Robles
Zion Zvi
Mika Immonen
Holden Chin
Tom Walter
Charles Eames
Jonathan Smith
Chris Lynch

I believe Jim Gottier is playing as well but I haven't heard a confirmation of that. Mike Sigel is definitely in as is Megan Smith (just spoke to both of them). Bob Madenjian from CT is in as well. Other than these players I really don't know who will be there. Disappointing that John Schmidt and Corey Deuel won't be there.

That is all I know. Maybe we'll know more at 3pm tomorrow. Still a spot or two open from what I have heard.

Also from qualifiers:

Shaun Wilkie - Drexeline 1st
Andy Lincoln - Drexeline 2nd
Brett Stottlemyer - Frederick 1st
Megan Smith - Frederick 2nd
Bob Madenjian - Long Island 1st
Chris Lynch - Long Island 2nd
Tom Karabotsos - Illinois 1st
Jeffrey Mohl - Illinois 2nd
??? - Amsterdam Billiards

I loved that Stefan won it last year. I don't think it would ever happen, but wouldn't it be something if Jasmine won? She sure made the men sweat two years ago in Brunswick. I remember when Jeanette Lee beat four men in one day-with a horrible back-at Amsterdam on East 86th in 2000(?)

Gentlemen,

Add me on to the Players List, Thats right i am playing in the worlds !!!!!:smile:

Good for Steve. Now, Relax and enjoy. No pressure, no worries.

they probably found out we're playing.

Actually, if JS just bought a poolroom he's probably busy with that. Mike bowed out last minute and that is definitely unlike him so I'm sure he has good reason.

Strangely enough, Jim was mysteriously left off of the invite list. It took a phone call from an important person to "remind" Dragon that he finished 9th last year and was due an invite.

Well at least he's in. I love the guy and it's nice to see him there. Odd that they would overlook him though. Can I get the name of the important guy? My invite never appeared either...

holy crap!!!!! I got no complaints!!!! Played jon smith 100-30, mike sigel 100-19, zion zvi 100-46, jim gottier 100-94 and mika immonen 100-26. what a blast, my heart is still pounding.
