Grady whitewashes Buddy 11-0. I don't think I know of any other recorded race to 11 where Buddy got bageled. This is not a one-off and shows how strong a 9-ball player Grady really was. Everyone knows him for his one-pocket titles but not many people know that he was a great 9-ball player to boot. He manhandled every single player on his way to the 1989 World 9-ball finals and was on the hill to win it all but Nick was allowed back to the table and the rest is history. This is one of the greatest matches you will ever see.
I watched it, and loved the back and forth
Between the two players, reviewed a short time
After they played. One drawback, for me, was that
One of the first things said- was who won the match.
Lots of familiar faces in the crowd and on the next tables,
Including grady’s dad in the seats and buddy’s wife and kid.
I liked grady’s use of the word, “forthwith,”
His description of his inner turmoil and meltdown
When other players “rat” in a ball (luck/slop),
And how, in his pool room, he won’t even let
Anyone say anything, not even “nice shot.”

One more thing to note,
During these latest accustats releases-
You are watching along with the one and only
Man himself, pat fleming, live in the chat room
Your master of ceremonies once again.
Next up is tomorrow 8pm EST
Bustamante/Kopinyi 10ball
Thanks for the other 2 games. I'll have to check them out.
There are some who think that straight pool was Grady's best game. He was certainly better at straight pool than 9 ball
