Player sees 1/2 tip of right as dead center ball?

i didnt see anyone talk about stance....if her stance is off its going to throw her backhand to one side and when she has the cue under her chin pointing at the ball it may be a few degrees crooked and she cant tell because shes always done it like that. now crooked looks straight to her and shes may have to relearn what straight is.

check her address to the cueball. im guessing shes just walking over and bending then adjusting her aim a lil with the same base.

Lol, where were these kind of girls when I was single?:yeah:

That's my problem exactly, one which I have mentioned in past posts. Only difference is my tip is about 1/8th to 1/4 to the right and I know it's to the right but can't do anything about it. When I try to readjust prior to contact I get so caught up in it, it ends up distracting me so much that I would've been better off just shooting off-center. Now I'm going to start a thread about how most people cue.

devindra...Yes! You should position your eyes vertically over the line of the shot, so that what you perceive is a straight line. Shooting a striped ball, with the stripe vertical, up and down the centerline, will show whether your perception is off (this, of course, is dependant on you having a straight stroke to begin with). This is why this is Mother Drill 4, and not 1. Mother Drills 1, 2, & 3 address perfect stroke issues, and teach a repeatable eye pattern, as part of your process. Therefore, with those issues resolved, you should be able to bring the CB/striped ball, back to your tip, a bunch of times in a row, at a slow or moderate speed. If your stroke is straight, but you are still hitting to one side, you need to adjust your line of sight. Eventually, with some practice, most people will begin "seeing" the correct line. Having the ability to deliver the cuestick into this 'perceived' straight line, is then the key to success.

A question for our instructors/knowledgeable players.

So if it appears that I am hitting the right side of the cue ball based on my perception even though its center ball I could move my head position to the left to fix my perception issue?

Thanks

I either shot straight or put right hand spin on the cue ball. When I started putting right hand spin on the cue ball (snooker commentators call it shooting across the cue ball) I found it impossible to correct while playing and couldn't make two balls in succession. The flaw showed up spontaneously and disappeared in an instant. The flaw would occasionally stay around for weeks, or it could only last a rack or two. Maddening

After reading recommendations in the forums I sprang for the huge capital investment:D for Joe Tucker's Third Eye gizmo. Recommended.
