Players touching the table with the tip of cue

Just wondering Brags, are you an "Old Schooler"? Someone who wants things to be as they were originally designed?

The game has changed and the equipment has changed with it. Styles of play have changed. Rules of the game change as well. Do you drive a vehicle or walk everywhere because those cars and trucks are cheaters way of getting from point a to point b faster?

Heck no...just a purist. While we are at it we should not allow low deflection cues either.

So.... No Muecci Red Dot Shafts?
No makers marks on shafts?
No rings on shafts?
I have multiple rings on my shaft at spaced intervals.

Any and all "aiming" aids should not be allowed.

Can I use one of these?
Sorry, but I have only one arm.

No, No.
He's is serious.
He wanted me to remove the diamonds from my table and send them to him.
I said I would if he would pay for the plug & patch, but he never got back to me.

Ok well these are just some suggestions I think could improve the game. Obviously there are exceptions and not all of these things are going to be outlawed...but some of them definitely should be in my opinion...especially the original one of not allowing the tip to touch the table.

Thank god for you

Maybe you should promote your own tournament.

You could be king for a day, instead of a troll under a bridge. :p

Well the rules for pool at my place would be the above mentioned, but no jumping allowed at all except for me...and also no Kamui chalk.

NO no no you don't. These are legit things I think need to be taken out of pool.

  • The tip thing is marking the table.
  • You should not be able to use your cue as a measuring device.
  • Chinese 8 ball and snooker don't have diamonds.
  • Lots of people think jump cues should go.
  • The rest/rake is used to get you out of a bad positional play...get rid of it.

Is there a lot of banking and kicking in snooker or Chinese eight ball that I have just never been aware of? These really don't seem like games that you would draw a parallel with in this instance.

Caroms shouldn't have them either...do you see professional cyclists with training wheels on?
