Someone on here asked me if I beat the 9-ball ghost w/o BIH...I think it was Jay. Well it sounded like a challenge. I tried the 9-ball ghost for about an hour today. I never put any pressure on him.

I went back to the 6-ball ghost w/o BIH 7 ahead. Let me tell ya, it was a war. I finally got him in the end...after two-hours of steady play. Johnnyt

Do you allow yourself to push after the break without having BIH??

Nice shooting!

No, if I made nothing on the break game went to ghost. He was on the hill twice in the begining and I pulled him back. After I got warmed up and got my break working it wasn't too hard. Don't forget, I'm on a barbox. Johnnyt

On my table I break from the 2nd diamond on the right side. I hit the 1-ball a hair to the right of center with low-left, with medium break speed. I make the 1-ball in the left side a very good percentage of the time. Sometimes the one-ball gets kicked passed the side and into the corner pocket. The two back outside balls crisscross three or four rails, and if no kicks, one if not both find a corner pocket. This after trying 1000's of breaks on this table. Johnnyt

Wow....Playing no ball-in-hand AND the game goes to the ghost on the break....Geezzz.....That's tough. It's hard enough not getting BIH, but throwing that factor in there just Eff's everything up.

were you only using 6 balls ??? To me, the 6ball ghost means playing 9ball but he's spotting you the 6.

At least I always thought that is what it meant.

4ball ghost = I get the 4
5ball ghost = I get the 5
etc,etc...

Maybe you are right. When I play the 7 and 8-ball ghost I rack a 9-ball rack and take off the 8 and in 7-ball ghost and the 9 in 8-ball ghost.

The 6-ball ghost I've always played rack just the 6 balls. Have no idea if that's the right way to play or not. Whoever showed me the game must have shown me that way. Johnnyt

I knew I should have left well enough alone. I tried five more times to beat the 6-ball ghost with BIH and make nothing on the break and the ghost wins that game, just to see if it was a fluke. It must have been. He beat me all five games pretty soundly:angry:. When I beat him I had a 6-pack at the right time. Johnny (back to normal) t
