Drug Wars......
If there wasn't a War on Drugs......
There wouldn't be Meth dealers across the street or near schools.
There wouldn't be gang warfare over "Crack Corners".....
There Wouldn't be higher incidence of addiction.....
Sore_Aintya.......You smoke and drink coffee for the chemical effect. It might not be as pronounced now because you've built up tollerance to it. Try not drinking coffee for a week and then having a double espresso, or don't smoke for a week and then have a Pall Mall. I think you'll feel the profound effects of the drugs you are touting as having no effect (you probably mean little effect).
I don't know how old you are, but I'm old enough to remember when the drinking age was 18. When I was 16 looking like I was 18, I had an easier time getting a bag o weed or whatever other illegal drug I chose, than I did getting alcohol. The reason is because of regulation. The store owner doesn't want to lose his license for selling to a minor. Moonshine wasn't common either because you could get liquor for a reasonable price. There is a black market for liquor and cigarettes for sure, but it isn't the same as selling an illegal product, it's tax avoidance.
They're all drugs.....legal or illegal each the same from a moral standpoint, so why tell me how to live my life (by saying something is illegal) when I don't try to tell you how to live yours? That's the job of religions, not governments
