playing with back troubles

Stretching is great, but always warm up the muscles first. It's never a good idea to stretch cold. The analogy I use when training a client is to imagine putting a rubber band in the fridge then stretching it. It breaks. I know it's an extreme but you get the idea.

How do you warm your mucles up with out stretching first, maybe a long walk?i always thought thats how you warmed your mucles up by stretching first, thats what i been doing for a long time in the gym,i would strecth first then lift weights, that rubber band story sounds very real!

You won't regret it. Good luck and good shooting!

I have really bad problems with my back. Spasms, pain, shooting pains down my neck, fusion. There is a Rx motrin that you can take on a regular basis that is more friendly to you kidneys, Relefen. You didn't say what your problem was so the first thing is to lose any extra weight your lower back may carry. There is a streching DVD I use called the 7 minute workout out and it is all about streching your bad muscles every day. Heated seats for your car and of course my favorite, small amounts of morphine throughout the day. It's a special morphine that sits on your back receptors and effects the nerves coming out of your back. You have to find a pain clinic that can write the prescription. Very few doctors are authorized to write it. Best fix for painful backs, I have found is winning. Takes away the pain magically.

I take back what I said about Aleve. I have recently read that 'nsaids' such as Aleve, Ibuprofin, Motrin, et al; can exacerbate heart conditions, cause problems with blood pressures, and contribute to kidney problems when taken in high doses. OTC medications can have serious side effects, just as Rx medications do, but in some instances are much harder to control because they are so easily obtainable.

My back gives me a fit when I play and I know i'm out of shape. I think you hit the nail on the head.

My back problems began when I was first shot out of a cannon to open Herbie's Pool Hall in Jamaica. I haven't been the same since.
