A person full of bark, woofing about his skill, then won't bet that water is wet. Somebody that blames the table, the lighting, the smoke, the dirty cueball, the alcohol, and the cue...if he loses fo 5 a rack. Somebody that wins and never runs it back...I like the "nipicking" descripton...but I say it's a banger that thinks he is a shark when he is only a baby lice.

something of no worth. As the word ," Nitpick," demonstrates. To NITPICK is to argue over nothing or something that is of no importance. So it can be implied that a NIT is something not worth your time.
There are degrees of nittishness as follows. In order of degree , from least to worst:

No, sorry but that is not a nit move. That's called an a..hole move. Seems like lots of people don't know what a nit is. A nit move would be bringing bottled water from home with you to league so you don't have to pay for it at the bar. Or checking in at a hotel at 5am which fives you 2 nights sleep. Couple examples. It all boils down to being super tight.

I always thought that was a smart move, lol.
Nit: Someone who plays 7 hrs at a game, is stuck 1-2 games and quits saying that the game is out of line and he needs weight.
Supernit: Someone who plays 6 hrs in a game, has you stuck the whole time, quits you WINNER and tells you he needs more weight.
Super colossal nit: The guy staking the Supernit, who also jumps into the game discussion saying they need more weight to keep playing.
The above happened to me in back to back 1p sessions, betting 25 a game with the nit and then 100 a game playing the other two nits. I quit gambling at pool for about 4 mos after that.
