Please Explain this

First thing that comes to my mind is rediculous cheap publicity for Kid D and his assorted business.

That's exactly what it looks like to me. A pitiful jab at exposure marketing and a (hopefully) futile attempt to create some pre-release product buzz.

And unless I'm mistaken, the cues are standard Pechauer issue, with Kid Delicious engraved in the butt. I mean, dam, what's it cost to get a few letters engraved nowadays?

Of course a great marketeer can take a sub-standard product, package it, spin it and make you think it's gold - just look at MS Windows :D . But if that Ebay "listing" is any indication of what's to come, Danny better not put away his stick yet...

OH MY GOD

this is the most hilarious shit out ther

WON TOURNEMENTS IN ALMOST ALL 48 STATES

I didnt realize US lost two states

THE TIAWAN WORLD POOL CHAMPIONSHIPS

TIAWAN? Sounds more like tiajuana

Lol ! I know Danny shoots with that kind of a cue, but the only pic including him and he has some other cue in his hands ! :p And that Pechauer model costs maybe $200... Sheesh.

I really love how they reprinted the whole Sports Illustrated article in the listing.

I think this is to get interest and a artificial market for a cheap cue. There may be someone that acutally pays that amount for the cue. No one can prove if it was really sold and that the money actually changed hands, but it makes for good publicity.

This reminds me of the Koi fish. They are nothing more than a glorified gold fish and after some smart person in China dicided to "buy" one for $1,000,000. the fish became very popular and expensive. Ask anyone that has one and they will all tell you the story on how expensive and rare they are and that people will pay millions for them???

Shipping will be in the $10 range with insurance?

Ithink you hit the nail on the head, in all respects. But to give the seller the benefit of the doubt, I will say that the ridiculous price is to prevent people from bidding, since it's not for sale at this time. Hopefully when they do become available, they'll be more in line with what they really are - a production Pechaur with some engraving in the butt cap.

Adios,

Those specific cues were a limited edition of 30. A friend of mine bought 5 or 6 of them from Danny's manager at last years DCC. He had them all signed and had no problem selling them. The ones he got were all heavy though, 20 to 21oz. I agree they are a basic Pechauer design, just with different colors. They look nice and for a production cue I like the Pechauer line. At least they are made in the USA.
