Hello,

I am currently trying to amass as many different pictures of upscale pool rooms as possible. I did a small search here, and on google, but is hard to come up with actual images.

Please, please take some time to post some that you have seen or know here?

You might want to get with Ramona Biddle - I'm sure she has some good pictures of her room in Albuquerque - beautiful room.

I have plenty of pictures of The Billiards Den in Dallas which I think may be the future of "nicer" pool rooms in the US. It isn't super upscale but is very nice, well ran, and should appeal to a broad spectrum of people. If I were trying to start a pool room as a successful commercial venture I would take a very hard look at their model.

I'm having issues with my ftp site and can't post images. If you don't get the images you want PM me an e-mail and I'll send the images to you. Lot's of interior shots, maybe one or two exterior, which was very plain since they were fairly new and in a shopping center.

Unfortunately, in the 45+ years I've been playing, I've never set foot in one.
I've been in a couple that the owners call "upscale". One wasn't bad, but certainly wasn't upscale as I understand it, which is the definition in Mike Shamos's New Illustrated Encyclopedia of Billiards:
"upscale room: A term, originating in the late 1980s, for a pool room having such amenities as expensive decor, a fashionable bar, private playing rooms, a quality restaurant, or antique tables, usually accompanied by higher table rates."
The other place is dump. I've been in much, much nicer places which were nowhere near upscale, but were comfortable and functional.

Tina, you could also contact Billiards Digest and see if they have back issues available. They do their top rooms issue every year and if you were to get 4 or 5 of those issues you would have alot of good references.

Obv Ronnie Wiseman shooting on that center table in the first pic.
 
here's s spots in London Ontario - very nice

Check out this spot, converted AMF bowling location, now has 24 tables, 15 bowling lanes, 800 sq ft video parlor, numerous hideaway spots etc first class restaurant etc

I will be hitting up "Die Drei" (the 3) here in Stuttgart within the next few days...
I havent been there yet , but from what I hear it is suppossed to be one ofthe premier billiard rooms in Germany...

I will post some pics after my trip... even plan on doing a short write up here on the forum

This is not the most upscale poolhall in the area, but finding pictures of Two Stooges Bar and Grill in Fridley is a difficult task. They are by far the most upscale billiard room (that isnt private members only) in the area.
