S7300002-4.jpgHi everyone. Just getting back into the cue scene after many years away.
I was wondering if anyone could identify the maker of this cue. I could find no markings. I want to see if it is a name brand or a knock off. Looks to be vintage late 70's to me. I will put in more desription after work.

Not sure who made it but that is the $29.99 model sold by K-Mart back in the late 80's...I bought one myself. Shot pretty good and stayed straight. Still have it and it is still straight. The $39.99 model had a SS joint and a Steve Miserak signature. No idea what it's worth now, probably $29.99 or less.

Well then, it sounds like the perfect cue to let my son learn to play with before I let him get to my Meucci's...

I would like to stay around and contribute to this forum. Besides collecting cues I collect comic books and frequest the CGC comics forum also.

Some background on my Billiard history - I was born and raised in Philadelphia and was brought up in a Pool Hall in the NE section of Philly that was owned by my Grandfather (Phil Fusco), and my Uncle ( Mike Fusco).

I was able to witness many great Players growing up. The late 70's, early 80's was a great time to be in a pool hall. Szamboti cues back then were dirt cheap. lol

Let me know if anyone knows of or had been to The Blvd Social and Atheletic Club back in the day...

I knew Jimmy Fusco quite well when I lived in NJ. Were you related to him. And yes I remember when you could get one of Gus's cues for $360.00.

Jimmy Fusco and Pete Fusco were in almost Daily playing. I knew them well. They are not related to my family though. 9-ball was the big game back then, but Jimmy liked to play straight pool.

Pool Hall in Philly

Bump - Cause I'd like to hear if anyone else here had been to my grandfather's Pool Hall from 1975-1990

It may or may not have been branded Wilson originally. It is certainly a Taiwan cue, almost certainly made in the same factory as the Wilson cues. But they were sold with other brand names on them through those years.

Not a terrible cue to start out with...could be worse. It might even be a full splice actually.

Yes...I was there. Used to play in the King of the Hill tournament sometimes. Beat One-Eyed Henry one time and he really did not like it. Also beat Spanish Lou a long time ago.

I also played Jimmy Matz for 3 hours and lost $45. Before he left us, he played on one of my pool teams. That was a long time ago.

I remember Spanish Lou, Peter Rabbit, Marco. My Uncle Mike used to bring his doberman up there all the time. His name was Cueball believe it or not.

I worked behind the counter making food for everyone for a few years. Good Times...

Wow. That Wilson is the same, except your threads are silver colored and mine are copper colored.

That's a brass pin.

Please note the joint rings are different as well.

Not the same cue. But close. Probably (I am guessing) the one with the brass pin is older.
