Please post your cue with solid white irish linen wrap

I'm thinking of getting mine rewrapped as it is starting th get real dirty and rough. I was going to go same white with brown specs but wondering about solid white wrap.

Thanks,
Kyo

I think you'd get more response from this in the main section. I haven't seen a solid white wrap except for silk or cortland two-tone. Would be nice to see something recent.

I'll try tomorrow. Mamono, my friends just bought Kevin's Tad off Ebay.
His inner Tad mania woke up again...

Anyone Please~~~

I think about the only solid white linen wrap you'll see will be on a Meucci cue. I don't think there is anyone that would use solid white unfinished, because it would get dirty just sitting in the case!

I've seen cues with solid white lizard wraps, but neve an unwrapped white linen.

Good luck with your search though!

Why am I not surprised!!!? Haha... Kevin always has nice TAD or Ginacues...!

Why not show us the cue that you're trying to get a wrap for? We could make suggestions. Are you partial to linen only?

I have never used it for the above reasons, but I have some of the old stuff, that I suspect was made in the early 1980's, it came with number of other rolls of Irish Linen I purchased from a Cue Maker who went out of Business.

white wrap

I have an amboyna cue with an all 'antique' white linen wrap. I think the technical color is called 'bone white'. I'll take pics and post them tomorrow.

I stopped installing the white wraps without finish because not one has ever been happy with the results. Once a month, someone calls in and tries to talk me into it but I won't do it. I won't even do white leather anymore.

I don't understand why someone would be upset with you for doing what they asked... It's white for crying out loud.

Here's mine. Suggest away~~ Thanks.

I don't mind the bluing at all. It's just starting to be rough on touch.

Thanks,
Kyo

My Mezz that got stolen was Leather wrap. It was nice, but I like linen more.

If you like that look, you can have it sealed over the linen to keep it clean.... but if you like the feel of linen, that isn't the way to go.

I wouldn't use plain white linen, and if you finish over it what's the point of linen at all.
If you're set on a white base - white w/ brown, white w/ double brown. Even white w/ light green would look good against the browns in that cue - it's very classic & goes with "almost" everything. Black w/ dark brown would look really good on there, too. It'd just be a much darker look. (Wouldn't go regular black w/ brown here as the brown would likely look too orange.)
Good luck!

Do it Earl Strickland style - white linen, no finish, but wear a back-hand glove to keep the wrap clean. And yell at anyone who so much as breathes on your cue.
