Sweet cue, I designed it and it took over two years for John to make it so when I received the cue I ended up flipping it for a huge profit. I am glad someone who could really appreciate the cue owns it now. I had it made with two of John's shafts and a matching OB-1 shaft, I played one night with the OB-1 shaft and booked a 1500 winner then sold the cue.

checked recently and it would cost over 7,500 to do something like that today... actual delivery is a whole other story...

Wow that is amazing, I had something like 2800 in the cue and when I got it it was probably worth closer to 4500. The cool part of your cue was I bought another cue from (Can't Remember his first name) Savoy at BilliardWarehouse and it was too heavy so I sent it to John and he sent me his wife's cue to use for over two years while he was making your cue. John Showman is definitely one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure to work with on a cue purchase.

By the way, you new car is awesome as well, congrats on the new acquisition.

Bill,
thanks for posting the pics...
I LOVE Johns work...
I traded the Ebony cue that I got from you for the Rosewood cue, with Don Sureman...The Ebony was nice, BUT the Rosewood butt is less than 15 ounces!
damn you. I wanted to buy that rosewood cue from don but you beat me to it. Do u still have it

Someday I'll have a pic for this thread. I like his work-alot, he is a great guy too, we met on the phone and knew alot of the same players from the earily 90's from Vegas.Phoenix etc, man we have had some nice conversations about those days-I really enjoyed getting to know John, he reminds me of that Barry guy-who ever he is :p ;) they must know each other. :) .... I'm big on old school looking cue's they are my favorite design style. I have hit balls with only one Showman and that was Rodneys WOW WOW WOW what a cue, man it was what I like, and it looked good too. God stuff in this thread.

I had to take a shot at Barry tonight. He is my friend too-for the record. All joking aside both these cue makers are great people aside from their work, and its a pleasure to know them both. I think they compair notes. Their cues are the style (design) i like and alot of other people as well too. duh???
