i remember someone in a thread earlier this week said something about using Pledge Spray Wax to clean the balls, that he thought it worked pretty well.

anyway, i am going to Wal-Mart tonight, was wondering if there is such a thing as Pledge Spray Wax? or is he just referring to the regular Pledge cleaner that is commonly used? are the two different?

thanks for any help,
DCP

I used windex lysol then pledge on some old pool hall balls cleaned up real nice in a polisher for 20 minutes cleaned up nice slicker then snot no tracks on the table from any oil or wax. It's been two weeks but havent gone back to the customer's table to check on them but they were real slippery when i first shot with them.

It's a furnature polish and wax need to air dry or wipoe down with a towel they feel wet for awhile at first then dry.

Best of luck'

You don't want to do that. Use either the Aramith ball cleaner product or the slipstick product. Any type of "wax" will leave a residue on the cloth. The residue will attract dirt, chalk, powder and and other debris at an alarming rate. Use a product that was created for the purpose of cleaning billiard balls.

I had used Pledge furniture polish for several years to clean the balls. Spray it on, let it dry and then polish. The effect is nearly as good as ball cleaner.

However, Blackjack is right. Take the time to stop at a place where they sell pool tables tables and buy Super Aramith Ball Cleaner. The balls play the same but they do not need to be cleaned as often.

Now I use the Pledge on the table sides and it orks well for what it was intended.

I had a stack leather wrap put on in Vegas by the old master working the Tiger booth..Said he has been working with leather for 40 years. He told me to spray the butt and the leather wrap with Lemon Pledge about once a month to keep the leather tacky and it polishes the wood on the butt...
It works great for me in that way....
