One thing I would suggest is to slow down your 'on the shot' speed by taking more warmup strokes....I started to do this a long time ago and it raised my game way up...

Don't let everybody get you screwed up too bad. Any changes you start making should improve your game immediately if they are really needed in the first place. I think you should keep your big "pump" stroke, but make your warmup strokes look more similar (bigger and slower) to your final stroke and take the same number on every shot.
