Lessons, exotics/repair
Ok, so I've had a retip done on my SP. I took the top layer off and made the crown so that I left the shoulders sharp and defined. Those changes did make a difference. I also used a file for fine tuning the crown of the tip so I didn't risk overheating the tip with the razor blade. After I shaped the tip then I took the sides down. Dressed it up with a little Beeswax and a piece of leather but didn't go for a hot burnish. This is the tip after three days of couple hour sessions. It is holding the chalk better than before and especially on the shots where I tend to wander outside of the center when I get bored and want to whip some shitties with the cueball ;-). I'll be confirming my results with my team mate to try this tip again by just allowing me to take the top crown off and reshaping. And Tom I'll probably be ordering more tips down the road now that I have the install in better perspective. BTW are the Oinkers like a non humidity form of these tips? Have a great weekend everyone.
