Pocket pictures?

That's where the pocket facing angles come in... they're supposed to be 142°-143°, which reduces the opening by about 3/4" from mouth to throat, regardless of the mouth size (parallel facings would be 135° - and too easy).

Regardless of the actual pocket openings, could be 4" i don't care, 135 miter angles make the hallway so to speak behind the mouth opening huge. Balls bounce off the pocket facings all the way into the back of the pocket instead of rejecting badly hit balls. And forget playing one pocket with parallel pocket miter angles, I don’t care who's playing, you're NOT going to get any balls out of the pockets so you might as well just shoot them in and score the ball for your opponent.

4.5

I went to Griffs in Vegas last week. I didn't measure but 2x balls at 2.25" each is 4.5" and these look close to the post right above me from GoldCrown which is 4.5". Griffs has all Diamond Pro Am tables and this one was a 9ft.

About half of a ball. The more hidden the better?

That's a little more than 50% exposed. My pocket has a little less than 50% exposed. Put a strip ball in the pocket and you'll see it a little better. Less ball exposed equals more ball rattle in the throat of the pocket, and enough pocket shelf to support hanging a ball.
