Poison Cues

I recently played in a tournament and my opponent was using a Poison cue, and I must admit I really liked the look. Any opinions on how they play would be helpful, as I am considering suggesting one for a Christmas present ( for me)

Poison cues are very popular nowadays, especially in Asia. They are a part of Predator cues, and they make pretty good stuff for the price. A poison cue would cost you 300 dollars on average, and I say out of all the production cues, Poison is one of the best out there for the price. their shaft (forgot the name) is also new technology, so you might like it. If this is the first time you are buying a cue, I would definitely recommend Poison cues.

One of the first production cues that I bought was a Poison Arsenic.
It was a very decent player. My wife bought me a wood machinists tool box and I gave her my Poison. She eventually sold it and we regret that move now.
And I believe you're correct, it is made by Predators sister company.

the venom shafts have nice LD performance for the money. the design is very similar to the predator, mainly that the bore is filled with balsa instead of empty air and that it is not laminated. so a little more deflection, but a more solid feel. some of their designs are edgy and not really my taste, but they have a few that look good. all the ones i've examined have been good quality.
