Political Correctness

Do you guys think this deeply when you're watching South Park or Carlos Mencia? Or do you actually let yourself laugh?

Who?? We don't have time for tv around here. We turn it on for weather reports, educational tv, and the occasional rented movie. That's about it. None of the rest of it is worthy to have around little ones. Sure get a few good laughs out of this forum, though.

My finger jerked when I hit the send button, so it sent twice. Oh well. I guess I just get a little credit for one more post, huh?

Both.

South Park is the most thought-provoking show on TV, imho. It touches on the principles of issues that most "serious" shows ignore in favor of partisan bickering intended to gain audiences.

I've always said that future historians will use South Park to explain how this generation thought (or not) about things.

Mencia is good because he is putting PC where it belongs: in the trash bin. His show forces one to realize that feelings don't come from outside comments but from one's thoughts about those comments. That is the way to thwart sharking in pool and in life. (I refer to the great Albert Ellis again here, even if ya all are sick of my references to him).

Do you know that Carlos Mencia's name is really Ned Mencia. Thats what everyone on the set calls him. His girlfriend too. How Politically correct is that?
