I think he will attempt to pay the entire amount, but certainly could see him making a % offer saying it's the only way the next tournament happens, but that's a mistake and the real option would have been to not have such a huge payout in the first place! BUt I do think a revised IPT will continue and maybe with a small amount of regular tour members, say 100 with less money, probably $500,000 tournaments. The main reason I see it continuing is if he dumps now he loses more money then if he tries to continue and make it work some way or another.
But it's becoming obvious that KT as the head of the IPT is doomed to failure at this point, maybe even Deno, You very well could see a new figure head at the helm (hope). Either way I do see the IPT continuing as long as at least most of the Reno money is paid very shortly. I would hope they issue a statement to the players that lists the reasons of all this and not more fluff, spell it out in simple terms the IPT failed to make the money necessary to continue at the level thought. The IPT will have to reorganized to try and make it work, the qualifier system was flawed and the amount of players and money was too much too soon, and ask for more input from the players of how it could work. If he would just be upfront and honest about how the IPT failed to gain support needed to have such lofty goals, people would respect the IPT more, too bad he keeps throwing out more pie in the sky and not be realistic and honest, you can be optimistic and have some base of reality at the same time.
