I answered that I really dont care about the APA, although given enough time I could certainly grow to hate the APA due to polls such as this one.

APA got me in to pool. Helped me find this site and my passion for the game. Not a perfect league, but it gets people playing which helps to keep the game alive.

I bavent plaued in the apa in over 10 years but i dont hate it. If i wasnt asked to play in the UPA about 3 years ago, id probably possible be playi g in the APA again now.

No, I don't hate APA. I dont agree with everything they do. Or that my LO does, but I enjoy my time playing APA.

Then again, I "hate" very few things. That term and that attitude gets thrown around far too easily these days.

...think about it.....

LMAO!!!!

I don't hate the APA. But I think there are things they could do to make it better. I also think they are things they could do to make sure the LO's are in line with one another.

No, I don't hate the APA. I don't hate anything.

I think what most people don't like are some of the rules and maybe the lack of billiard etiquette by some of the players... etc.

But all-in-all the APA is good for the game. It maybe just needs to be tweaked a little bit

I've been seeing a few similar threads up lately or maybe just noticed them as I recently joined the APA. My .02cents, it's not perfect, probably geared a little more towards introducing people to the game and having fun. When it started in our area I had friends that joined and I passed. Recently we've lost all the weekly tournaments in our area so there is not much around. For myself I figured I would give it a shot and at minimal it would keep me hitting some balls around 1-2 times a week. It has actually been more fun than I expected. From what I've seen with different level of players, attitudes, etiquette etc I'd say the good so far out weighs the bad. I've enjoyed it, if I wasn't doing the APA my cues would probably sit for months at a time.

Don't hate the APA and I've never been in a league. If it's good for pool's growth, then that's good. But, from what I've heard from Tony Chohan, they take in a lot of money but give just a tiny minority back. I like his idea having some of that money go toward professional tournaments. Now that would be good for the growth of the sport. Just injecting 1% of the annual profits into tournaments would be YUGE.
