Poll for non-smokers: smoking in pool

I am a non-smoker and I will/will not play in a pool hall that allows smoking:

  • will - I love pool and have no other choice

    Votes: 15 34.9%
  • will not - I have access to a pool hall with clean indoor air

    Votes: 27 62.8%
  • will not - I don't play pool because of this but I do read AZB

    Votes: 2 4.7%
  • will not - I own a pool table; let the pool hall go out of business

    Votes: 3 7.0%

Good for you. Your poll is rigged. 3 yes answers and one (I have no choice) answer. I don't care who smokes. Are you aware that to sit near a campfire and breathe wood smoke is 4,000 times more dangerous than 2nd hand cigarette smoke?

I go where the pool is. I play in non smoking, smoking and at home. Doesn't matter to me if they smoke or not. I don't make my decision based on that criteria.

Not a bad poll. This one's geared to non-smokers. I'm a non-smoker who would prefer playing in a clean smoke free environment. But that's not a choice for me.

Ohio's smoke free and I love it!
If your standing by a camp fire and the smokes blowing your way, I would think most people would goto the otherside of the fire.

Don't get me wrong I'm for freedom of choice but I believe this is different.
I've been around smoking my whole life.
From a little kid riding in the car with the windows rolled up and mom dad and granny smoking like chimneys to me smoking at age 15 untill I quit cold turkey at age 25.(up to 2pacs a day)
Then after a year or so I got hooked on backwoods cigars cause I thought they smelled good.(they taste like shit) That went on for about 2yrs.
I've been tobacco free for about 11 yrs. (best thing I ever did)

Who the hell wants to walk around smelling like a ashtray? (especially when they don't even smoke?)

Makes no difference to me. I will echo an earlier poster; I play pool where pool is played. My experience is that smoking rooms have more action.

Ohio is SUPPOSE to be smoke free, but I can go into many bars and a few pool halls around here and still come out smelling like smoke.

What about an option for the non-smoker that will go in pool rooms that allow smoking because they believe it is the business rights to set their business criteria???

I do have choices in the DFW area of smoking and non-smoking rooms - to me it doesn't matter which I go to, as long as I can play pool.

unfortunately in korea.... all of the pool tables are in locations that allow smoking. It is completely unavoidable. So, if I want to play... I put up with it. I quit smoking almost 1 year ago and smoke around me really does bother me more nowadays. But, I love pool so I'm not going to stop playing because of it.

Korean's smoke, I have to deal with it.

Greg

No need to cop a phoney attitude like that. Obviously, the poll creation instructions are not clearly written. There's some guess work involved- such as, "OK, what do I do next?"

Looks like two polls were posted. Can't figure out how that happened since I only entered poll questions once.

[Correction: only one poll was posted for non-smokers. I posted a poll for smokers and a poll for non-smokers. Now what's your problem, exactly?]

I guess we're just lucky that there isn't a vocal minority of campfire smoke addicts who want to start campfires in the pool hall.

Do you smoke?

Me too and I deal with it.
But it's alot better then it was.
Now they might go to the back room or to the corner of the bar which I can deal with.
It's not like the place is on FIRE
