When I shoot pool and my relatives visit, they love to distract me.

Could that be developed into an appealing idea for new pool players.

If you can't shoot pool, and still want to be part of it play distraction pool.

A formal set of rules for distractors would be:
No throwing, no nudity and no flashing lights or odiferous chemicals.

The distracting team main goal would be to force errors.
And distracting teams compete against other distracting teams.

It is the ultimate battle to determine the best methods of distraction.

Some players are thrown off by different things, is it worth it to know what works and what doesn't work.

Is there enough to develop a game from it?

Main goal is to increase communication during a pool match, communication creates interesting opportunities.

I think if you are used to playing in bars it wont be easy to be distracted. All of our leagues are in bars, when Im at the table I dont notice people yelling or laughing, I dont see people walking around, and I dont notice whats coming out of the jukebox. But put the chalk on the rail upside down and you immediately have my attention!!!:mad::smile:

That could be fun for tourist bar goers checking the billiard room, a reserved spot for distracting players.

Any player that signs up for the table knows what is coming?

A nearby pool hall held a tournament in this fashion to celebrate the birthday of its owner.
