Pool Ball Collecting.

An awful lot of effort went into those CoAs, dear reader.

We studied literally hundreds of similar certificates and dedicated ourselves to being the best of the bunch.

I’m rather interested in heraldic symbolism… the British Lion and American Eagle on our museum’s coat of arms hence representing the transatlantic partnership of its founders.

And the Latin scroll? Omnis Sphaera Est Aurum Nobis… all balls are gold (treasure) to us.

Option two. If you wish your purchase to remain anonymous, just contact me (K2Kraze) via AZB private message and we will take it from there.

One important point to note, ladies and gentlemen. Only 30 limited edition Poker Pool sets are available and we will not be commissioning any more in the future. Ever.

Best wishes -

your fellow enthusiasts and avid collectors from The Billiard Ball Museum.

Hello again, ladies and gentlemen.

On the eve of the Billiard Ball Museum’s launch of their first limited edition pool ball set, Poker Pool, I thought the good folks of AZB might be interested in a sneak preview of our next offering… due for release April 2024.

First, the beautiful certificate already shared by K2…

And then, my friends, the provisional certificate artwork of the forthcoming second edition…

Missing from these images, of course, are the plastic security cards and holographic seals. Rest assured they will be included on the real thing.

We hope you approve. Best wishes.

Please put me down for a set of the Romaniques. I'd gladly prepay now for set #1.

Thank you so much, Mr R. 🙂

Alas, I don’t think we’re quite ready to take pre orders for the Romaniques just yet, dear chap. 🙂

If they continue doing the same amount of sets for each release then the only way to guarantee you are in line for the Romanique III's is to get a set of Pokers thus locking in the first shot at your set number when they start taking orders for them.

Other than that the only way you would get a crack at them is if someone from the first release decides not to buy their R-III's allotment which I don't see happening.

Of course, this all assumes that the Pokers sell out.

It was only fitting that the evening begin with a poker quote:

"The kiddie game is down the street!"

Welcome, my three friends flush with .

The buy in: $500. Min bet per game is one black chip.

5 different games will be played.

Drink is on the house: Cardhu 12 year Single Malt. A dear friend’s favorite. Pear, flapjacks, and caramel on the tongue.

Catered BBQ.

The balls: the newly minted ball set from the boys at the Billiard Ball Museum.

The game is …. POKER

Let’s play.

Oh my word!

Your previous photographs and evocative accounts have been exemplary, Mr K, but tonight’s offering is simply outstanding, dear fellow!

You’ve taken it to another level entirely. It is all worthy of a glossy magazine article, my friend. I’m going to give Billiards Digest a call.

🙏

Benelli. 🙂

You are correct on all counts, dear chap. I have a buddy who is a poker professional who intends to purchase one of these first sets, but will have no real interest in the Romaniques, so that at least will be one spare when the time comes.

I like to think of the Billiard Ball Museum limited editions as an exclusive gentlemen’s club… the only way to get in is if another member decides to leave.

Best wishes.

Sorry gents, but your ideology is a bit misguided here. If the first set is a "port of entry" for future considerations, perhaps you should have chosen a set that has a wider spectrum of interest for your first release. I'm an avid collector but have zero interest in poker sets whether they be vintage or contemporary. Shutting me out from future offerings because my taste doesn't align with your first release is short sided and quite frankly, bad business. I wish you the best of luck with your project as I've been waiting for someone to take something like this on, but if this is your strategy, I will not be participating in your endeavor.

Hello, everyone. 🙂

As promised, the Billiard Ball Museum will be launching its first limited edition set, Poker Pool, in about ninety minutes.

To comply with AZB’s terms, the details will be posted on the FOR SALE section. Please be aware, ladies and gentlemen, the same offering will be advertised simultaneously on a private Facebook collecting group… but nowhere else at this stage.

Just 30 limited edition sets are available on a first come, first served basis. It might be wishful thinking, but should a situation arise where this number sells out very quickly then the time stamp of each initial contact will determine their allocation. We will do our best to keep you updated as sales progress.

Thank you so much for such kind words and support during our launch week, ladies and gentlemen. It really was sincerely appreciated. 🙏

I love the set but it's hard to justify a poker set. It really is a great set for collectors or those who enjoy poker pool but I'm not really firmly in either camp.

What a stunning set! I wish the group and endeavor the absolute best. :)

I hope someday the group may do a modern take on the Raschig numberless sets. I'd love to get a set or two. It's been a dream to own a set for play but it's a very hard decision to take a good condition set and play with them. It would be very fine to have stripes without numbers too!

I know there was a set you can order without numbers but I've heard reports that the material in the balls is sub par. A numberless set with modern phenolic would be a dream come true.

24 sets remaining from 30.

Thank you so much for your support, ladies and gentlemen. It really is sincerely appreciated.

The NO BUMPING policy means I am not permitted two consecutive posts on the FOR SALE forum, but will endeavour to keep you updated here.

To all those who have contacted us thus far…

Sincere thanks and congratulations, you are on the list. 19 sets now remain from the 30.

🙏

I DO have a question for you folks who have done so well to offer this set! Does this set come with game instructions, or that VERY cool set of cards?
