Pool ball polisher

Glue

I cut mine so it fit perfectly and didn't need glue, but you should use something that will allow you to remove it if it gets dirty. Try two face tape.

Are you building one with a ball separator so the balls dont touch each other? If so I would like to see what you are building.
Thanks

Homemade Polisher

Just a little variation here.....I used sponges from Home Depot. Cut 2- 2x4x8 sponges in half to yield 4 pieces, 1x4x8. 3M spray for adhesive. Sponge thickness reduced the inside diameter of the bucket to almost exactly the diameter of the buffing pad.

Without a separator, you may get ball collisions. That will leave dimple marks. You will be able to hear the clicking sound of ball collisions. Without going to the trouble to make a separator, ball collisions can be eliminated by placing a free floating polishing pad on top of the balls. For the motorized pad on the bottom side, I use a heavy cotton pad. For the floating lid on top, I use the shaggy long nap type of pad.

Mine does up to seven balls at once. The balls come out sparkling clean, and you will be immediately spoiled.

I always use a couple of sprays of water to speed the cleaning.

Unfortunately, my machine is very ugly.

I only had a short piece of carpet.....way to short to make the radius of the inside of the five gallon bucket. I used a secret type of contact cement and had my buddy Glen aka RKC stretch that carpet untill it fit:p.
Were talken tight.

I used velcro and hot glue. I bought the carpet that came pre-cut strips for staircases. Used that to line the wall of the bucket, and as ball separator.
