I just saw for the first time the super aramith 8ball set I dig it,

Are there any aramith pool ball sets with all one color, like all red with no numbers

Thinking about a set for straight pool, i got a set of used super aramith pro, not scratched or dinged at all just a little yellow, but I like the idea of all solid color ball set

FWIW, that would make for a terrible straight pool set. How could you ever track balls out of clusters or things like that? Endless arguments. :)

I don't know what you mean by track ball's out of clusters

I don't mean the cue ball is the same just all the object ball's,
For me I'd give it a shot, seems like it would make it a bit easier psychologically,
Just a thought

You spend a lot of time in straight pool calling shots out of clusters. I think it would be pretty hard to track that the right ball went into the pocket. :) If you get rid of the call shot requirement, then it wouldn't matter.

I actually don't do that very often, but I do and it does come up
and that's a good point

Pull out the sharpie ;)

Go take a peek at the Pool Ball Collecting thread for a few ideas.... I'm the meantime, here is one possible solution that I use from time to time...

That is the Vigma Russian Pyramid set in 2 1/4" size (57.2mm). I got mine through my friend that owns For Worth Billiards here locally.

This could be an option if you wanted a variation...

That's the Aramith poker set - the suit images are on the back side of the numerals.

vigma I see now that the other set I liked is in Russian pyramid size so I can't use those,
Definitely looking at something different ,thanks for bringing up those sets

Which set are you referring to here? The Casino set is the 7 solid red and 7 solid yellow with the 8 ball....

The Vigma numbered Russian sets are avail in both standard 2.25" and the larger ones you are referring to...

Red ball in the corner pocket is not going to be terribly enlightening when all of the object balls are red and identical. There is a reason the balls are different - they almost have to be in any call shot game.

look again, im not going to be holding streaming tournaments from my garage,
this is going to be for my own personal usage, if it turns out to be a headache so be it

but i feel like trying something different

Agreed - especially for 14.1

Perhaps it's time to commission a set of beautiful Aramith solid reds or yellows with small numerals for 14.1
