Pool Battle of the Bands (LA Guns vs, Great White)

I met Michael Grant lead guitarist for the LA Guns and he is a very good pool player. A friend of mine is making a custom cue for him. I know Mark Kendall lead guitarist for Great White posts on AZ so we ask Mike if he would play a challenge match with Mark. He said absolutely.

This could be a great event for the sport. I sent a PM to Mark...hope he replies.

Would AZ'ers be interested in an event like this if we could get Mike and Mark's busy schedules to align?

Thanks

Yes, as long as the gents from Dokken get to referee and neutral rack.

Seriously though, anytime high profile folks get involved in the sport is great. If there was unlimited funds, create a celebrity world cup of pool, where one celeb is paired with a professional player and a scotch doubles tournament is created.

Having Joe Rogan and Jason Shaw vs Mark Kendall and Mike dechaine could be intriguing, especially if Mariano Rivera (a reported pool player) with Shane were waiting in the finals bracket.

I'm sure ESPN would find some value in that.

I wasn't thinking of anything on that grand a scale. Just Michael and Mark meeting at a venue and possibly live streaming it.

If a big celebrity tourney is in mind, Tony Stewart says he'll retire from racing after next year. I understand he's pretty good on a pool table.

Mark was a guest on the Joe Rogan show and after it was over they played pool and Mark said he won pretty easy he plays pretty darn good for sure i think he is a 100 ball runner in 14-1.

Nope

I am not thinking that big as I stated earlier. Just Mike and Mark playing at a venue that fits their schedule and live streaming it.
