Pool Books/Videos for Advanced Players

Honestly I've found that too many books focus on the basic fundanmentals of the game.

Would love to find some new books and videos on advanced topics.

I already have Racking secrets, banking with the beard, science of one pocket.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Byrne's Complete book of pool shots was good, and he states that it's not for beginners. "300 moves every player should know"

Did you ever see "How do you win from here?" video by Buddy Hall. It's great. It has a lot of unique safety and advanced moves, kick safes, that sort of thing. Every one in a while I watch it and practice a couple of the shots.

George Fels' How Would You Play This? is excellent. It's a compilation of complex scenarios in the more common games. A wonderful casual read for a subway commuter, like myself.

Depending on what game you want to play, phil capelles books are good. I found play your best straight pool help me greatly in putting together good runs, oddly enough its brought my one pocket game up at least 2-3 balls (I used to be a run 2 and duck sort of player:D ) For nine ball, upscale nine ball is a good read. On the mental side, pleasures of small motions is my favorite. and if you really want to get technical, answers to every pool players prayers is interesting but very technical.

Lots and lots of accustats
Wincardona's one Pocket tape

I do not recommend Upscale one pocket or anything with a pretty girl on the cover.
