The pool.bz website is the creator of the WEI table. I don't know what the story is with him anymore. It used to be that we could post WEI tables in forums such as here and onepocket.org. All the sudden about 6 months or so ago, he started blocking other sites from embedding the cuetable.

Basically he's trying to force anyone using the WEI table to only be able to use it on his site, is what I'm guessing. One could embed a table here for example, but you have to go to his site to see what the table actually looks like.

I'm not sure why he did all this, but he also won't answer emails or the like, to have him explain what's going on.

Over the past several years, onepocket.org has used the WEI table a lot, diagramming onepocket shots, and it was a great tool to use for that purpose. Many times he would work on the WEI table and it would get all messed up, but he would have nothing on his site saying what he was doing or why it was messed up. Just really got to be a burden using it, because out of nowhere, it could not work at all and he would not answer emails.

The WEI table was a great tool and I really wish he would allow us to use it. I understand people wanting traffic to his site, but c'mon.... nobody is going to go there to discuss WEI tables only. I wish he would make his intentions clear and let the forum admins work with him on what he's after.

Hopefully someone else will program something that works as well or better and is willing to work with the major pool forums to allow everyone to be happy.

I also emailed him 2-3 times. and tried to contact him also on his website. No response at all.
Not the time worth. That s my opinion now. Several guys also asked him about his *software*-but then he s makin a big secret and denies permanently. STrange guy.
 
Does anyone know whether a resolution to the "This application requires an Xtra (animated gif)..." problem was found? I'm trying to add a cuetable layout to a post, and I just can't get it to work.

There were several threads besides this one in the past year about the cuetable, where some AZ members even tried to reach out to Mr Wei, the creator. There was no resolution, and you can't add the table to an AZ post.

Try taking a screenshot and adding it as an attachment to an AZ post. People won't be able to interact with the post like they used to, but that functionality went away several years ago for all intensive purposes, when everyone was required to be a member to his site to interact with the table.

iusedtoberich...That's not true. Wei Chao recently completed the repairs on his site, and enabled Cue Table again. It was working as recently as last Wed. night.

It works on his site but he does not allow the pool forums to embed the table in posts anymore. I've given up on getting any response from him on why he's left the very people that used it, swinging in the wind for several years now.

Bottom line is you can go to his site and create a shot, then take a screenshot of it and then post it here. Anyone wanting to participate, will have go to his site and create a new diagram and set the balls up like you had them, then take a screenshot and post it over here.

Such a travesty that all the people that used it here, can't anymore and he won't even explain to them why.

Another thing to add, yesterday when I tried to paste the table into this thread and it didn't work, I also tried to paste it to his site on Wei's forums. It did not paste there either. He had a discreet button that created a new thread right from the cuetable diagram (for his forum). The thread was created, but the table did not appear at all.
