Pool cue question...please help

Hey, I can't find info ANYWHERE. Has anyone here seen the spiral design pool cues? I've only seen a few around...I think Corey broke with one in the IPT at one point.

I guess spiral is the best way to describe it. Looks like a barber pole. LOL Any info on who makes these cues? Any pics out there? Thanks, guys!
 
I do remember seeing something like that. However, I can't tell you who made it. Someone here will probably know. GL
 
Check out Samsara cues. They make some nice spiral designs.

If anyone is interested in this Samsara, I have one for sale. It is $1200 with two shafts shipped in the lower 48.
 
I would think he is talking about a curly/tiger maple pool cue, you can order one made by most cue makers.
 
I don't answer these threads very often..But you may be thinking of a cue made by Viking, It's wrapless with a very tight spiral up the forearm made of rose wood and birds eye, it has no marking or production stamp that can be found..Supposedly there was only 3 made and it is the prototype of the one in the thread for billiardwardhouse.I know this because I have one.However I'm not sure of all the facts.. I contacted Viking at one time to verify this and they would not give me any information..They were actually rather rude about it and said the bottom line was that they do not talk about prototypes..So that was that..I think Mueller hade one for sale a while back..Is is a very sharp and different looking cue,if anyone is all that interested I'll try and put up a picture..

Not the one I'm talking about.

The one I'm thinking is all spiralled like a barber pole. Looks like just a graphic cue. Nothing fancy. Not inlays or wood. Just one big spiral. LOL

I'd love to see the pictures, although I suspect they didn't make it. I know what you mean about Viking's prototype lines though. They don't like to give much info on them. If you ever do get someone to talk, call again the next day and talk to someone else. You'll get different info. LOL It's fun.

Anyway, yeah, put up a pic, I'd love to see yours. Here's mine...I love the tribal design, but the same way. They have no model # and won't tell you anything about them if you send them a picture of them. Oh well.

Yessir, I'm very familiar with Tiger Maple. Gorgeous wood, but far from what I'm talking about here. I think everyone is overthinking this one here.

Picture this. If I took a plain white painted cue...no spiral texture like the Stealths, no wrap...nothing...plain white...

Then I took a roll of black electric tape and started at an angle and ran it spiralling all the way up the cue to the joint...

THAT is what this cue looked like. Accept that the one I saw Corey Deuel break with in the IPT was white and red. Red electric tape on a white cue??? LOL Hope this description clears things up a little. I didn't describe it very well before.

So has anyone seen this? Any info on the maker?
 
It was a custom made Jacoby. Corey's friend designed it. I believe they used automotive paint. I thought it was pink and white but it may have been red.
 
You know, I think you're right because I was thinking it showed up pink on tv. I saw another a couple weekends ago in black and white. Do they still make those? I can't find them ANYWHERE online. I guess I could call them myself, huh? LOL Thanks for the info, Hambone!

Even more intriguing design when you consider that the two different woods are each one piece. The one that JoeyInCali posted is also like that. How do they do that??? ;)

That is correct. The cue was custom Jacoby (only 3 were made I think), and it was painted with pink and white autmotive paint.

The cue that Corey used in the IPT was bought by Heath (sn here is Icon of Sin) and is signed by Corey.
