Chuck Starkey - the best hit ever! Feels like a one piece cue.
True, I’ve got one of his titlist conversions with the wood pin and a ferrule-less shaft and it does play good.

I happen to have a old oak Brunswick conversion wood pin cue that Chuck Starkey made for me up for sale. Comes with 2 straight taper and 1 pro taper shaft, predator qr butt extension buttcap, 18.5 oz, I used it maybe 3 times. Nice old honey color, $420 and it’s yours

I wish John still made them . I had a couple of them 8 years ago but like an idiot got rid of them ! Don't know what u got till its gone
Is there ever a problem with the wood screw cues getting "stuck" together ..say when it is real humid for example?

I never heard of the wood pin sticking or any other problem.
John Nemic did make the Deano cues for me,but he won't
make me any more or I would buy them. He really does make great cues
Larry Vigus finally agreed to make me another one so I
am happy now. He was not shy about telling me that he preferred
using a steel pin,he might have said something about it
was all in my head but he would make me another one
but it wouldn't be cheap
