Pool & Golf?

What do you think of a pool hall with an adjacent golf simulator room? Synergistic cross-attractions or totally different clientele? Which is better?

Asking for a friend.

Totally different, but I suspect that many top level billiards players are also naturals at golf.
I'm for anything that gets more tables out there for the public and attracts a wider audience.

Making a big score on the pool table one day and loosing it the next on the golf course is possible. 🤷‍♂️ I heard it through the grapevine. 🤷‍♂️

Hey Pat. You can do the real thing here in N.C. almost year round. We’d play a round of golf in the daytime then shoot pool all night! No simulator needed…

I hear that Top Golf is going to add pool tables very soon.
Atlanta TopGolf had a (free) pool table when I was there a number of years back.

On a recent trip I was surprised to see that Worcester Country Club has a couple pool tables in their very '50s looking men's locker room and lounge area. You don't see them at nice golf clubs very often nowadays though.

There used to be a place in Orlando that I think was called Tees and Cues. At least 15 years ago...

I went there once. It was more centered around the golf with a handful of pool tables adjacent to the bar. It made for a decent evening with a couple of buddies as I remember.

Sadly, it was gone pretty quickly. Probably in less than 2 years.

The one in Birmingham had a table or two but it was like a lot of such situations. No one there did the maintenance on the one or two tables. Lack of knowledge?
The table gets trashed, it isn’t used that much and doesn’t make money, and then the owners ask themselves why do I have this thing at all?

Even better is when the table is only used by freeloaders who don’t buy anything.

There was a pool hall near me in the 90s that had a driving range next door to it. Pool players and Golf tend to intersect, although I think more pool players also play golf often than the other way around.
