Dug it out and watched it again. Reminded me to ask if anyone knows what cue "Brad"/Shroeder was shooting with? Cuetec maybe?

Probably cuetec, or a Walmart graphite special.....lol

With him supposed to be ranked 13th in the country they could have let him use a better looking cue then that.:grin-square:

I have thought that exact same thing for years. And how about the fact he carries his cues in a guitar case that's turned into a cue case?? Just plain silly.

I read Walken made that trick shot on his first try.

He did. Producers wanted to leave the cameras off for a while so he could practice. He told them to keep them rolling, just in case he made it ... and he did.

Pool Hall Junkie Cues

The only thing that kills me about that movie is the cues. The banners in the back are southwest, but most everyone is using graphite, WTF? I does look like the cue that the hall owner gives him appears to be a SW or a knockoff. Thats the only playing cue I saw. Good movie, but could have been something special if done just a little better.

I watched PHJ before I started posting on AZB, and when Pool Wars was released I bought a copy. While reading the book I thought to myself, I have heard toupee jay before. Sure enough, next time i watched PHJ I heard Toupee Jay again, i then turned to my woman and said, that guy responded to a post of mine on AZB and I own the book by the guy they are talking about.

She thought I was nuts, but I thought i WAS the nuts.
