Pool Hall Photos From All Over.

Lucky you having a room ten minutes from you.
Are those 9 footers or 7 footers?
If they are 9 footers and set up well then eventually serious players will be coming around.
They have 6 9ft Rasson tables and 3 English pool tables. Talked to the manager and he was happy to see someone who takes the game seriously in there, hopefully it might get a few more of us in there.

Deep , if I had a nice place to play that had 4 1/2' x 9' tables I darn sure could careless on the color of them .

I've got a 130 mile drive one way to play on a 9' table care to trade ? Ha ha
Wow, that's dedication! (y)
I thought I had it hard having to catch a 20min train ride!!

There are 3 places within 45-55 minutes from me to play pool. All are 4.5x9"s ,one has a 6x12 (has to be booked) and the place I go to has two 7 footers that rarely get used. I might check out the place that has the snooker table and see if I can hit a ball 12ft away. I have a 9ft at home but like to get out and play some

Yup.
Playing at home is not the same as playing in a poolroom.
Gets repetitious.

A group of men pose inside Jim’s Billiards on Davis Avenue in Mobile, 1939. Davis Avenue, ironically named for the one-time president of the Confederacy, Jefferson Davis, was a well-known thoroughfare in the heart of Mobile’s black community. In 1986, the street was renamed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.

I see Eddie Murphy, the small guy fourth from the right. I can read the room. The sharp looking guy in the white jacket second from the left is the best player and hustler in there. I would advise avoiding him.

Finally, i was at Bata Bar&billiars am Hauptbanhoff in Berlin.
Me and my friend got early, and went for10ft diamond table. I dont know if its the table Earl and Bata played on, but it was really a nice experience.
It was saturday, raining a bit, so that hall got crowded early in the afternoon.
Excellent!

A few places i have visited this year around the UK....

LA Pool Club in Brighton. All Rasson tables in good condition, 3 9ft tables, 12 UK pool tables and 1 Heyball table.

I was here last weekend. Nice club. I've been to the Castle Club in Brighton a few times, but they only have a couple of 9 footers, didn’t realise this place existed until I walked passed by chance. Chinese 8 ball table and the Rassons played well and well looked after. Rassons played a little tighter than what is available at the Castle Club, so will probably be my club of choice when I'm in the area.

Couple more from a recent trip to Scotland.....

Ball Room in Meadowbank in Edinburgh. Nice room, mainly Brunswick Metro tables with Andy 900 cloth, equipment is well maintained but the tables have the standard size Brunswick pockets so the tables play quite easy, even I managed multiple 10-ball break and runs!

Next up is McGoldrick's in Rutherglen in Glasgow. Arguably the best room in the UK, very focused towards the more serius player. Rasson Ox tables which are exceptionally well maintained, 4" pockets. Also excellent food and drink.

Adding some pics from when I lived in Thailand. This was around 2004-2005

Ball in Hand featuring Sardo tight rack!
Ball in Hand staff attendants.
Snooker with Steve way up at the end of Sukumvit?
Playing on a 9ft table after snooker was so crazy! Felt like a bar box haha. Good times.
