Frank "Sailor" Stellman is going to Detroit next week. He's a mature (80 something) player and cue maker. He asked me if I could find out the location of any Pool halls in Detroit "where the players hang out". He's probably more interested in watching than playing.

Can anyone help?

Two places I miss about Detroit are;

Hall of Fame in Warren
The Rack in Livonia

Steve just gave you the straight dope Dennis, however I should tell you things are very slow around here right at the moment. We have a lot of players showing up tonight, 7/11/08, because Tony Chohan is putting on a Tourney this weekend at Oak Park Q with $2000 added. After that, who knows. Adam Smith has been matching up, and there are a few lower level players in action, but generally it's very slow compared to the recent past.

I was at HOF today, and there were players from Pittsburg, California, and West Virginia in attendance, but only one action partners 1P game. Sailor will find plenty of friendly senior players during the daytime, with billiards, 1-P, and Golf being most frequent. Action is slow however in Michigan...Tom

Monday nights at the Blue Diamond in Detroit. Things are a little slower during the summer but it is still a good place.
